Library South – CURVE

Scope of Project This project was for a build-out of approximately 3,600 square feet in the existing Library South Building for a Collaborative University Research & Visualization Environment. The space is highly visible with a retractable glass wall front that allows overflow for special occasions to expand into the existing library lobby. This space provides for in depth research by Faculty, Graduate Students and Under Graduate Students in areas that need cutting edge digital technology and advanced visualization software. This is accomplished by using the 24’ long by 4’-6” high LCD video wall with touch capacity. There is also an 84” Ultra HD (4K) touch screen, six small group workstations, and a Graduate Assistant help desk. The main two displays use fiber optic technology & the Library hopes to convert the six group workstations to fiber optic eventually.
